Purchases made on this site are provisionalCompleting checkout or paying a fee on rentpp.org reserves your selected package and starts onboarding. It is not an appointment as principal property practitioner and does not authorise you to trade as a supervised property practitioner. The appointment only takes legal effect once (a) you have signed RentPP’s full Stand-In Principal Property Practitioner Service Agreement, (b) all onboarding documents required under that agreement have been delivered, and (c) the Commencement Date defined in that agreement has occurred, including confirmation with the PPRA and CIPC. Section 4 below explains this in full.

01Who these Terms are between
These Terms are between Rent a Principal (Pty) Ltd, trading as RentPP (registration number 2026/303717/07, “RentPP”, “we”, “us”), and any person or entity that browses rentpp.org, submits an onboarding enquiry, or purchases a package through the site (“Client”, “you”).
RentPP provides stand-in principal property practitioner services, PPRA compliance oversight, regulatory guidance, risk management, practitioner supervision, and related advisory services to property-practitioner businesses in South Africa.
02Accepting these Terms
By using rentpp.org, submitting an onboarding form, or completing a purchase, you confirm that you (and, where you are acting for a business, that business) accept these Terms. If you are purchasing on behalf of a company, close corporation, trust, or partnership, you confirm you are authorised to bind that entity.
These website Terms sit alongside — and do not replace — the full Stand-In Principal Property Practitioner Service Agreement, which remains the governing contract for the actual appointment and supervision relationship. Where these Terms and the signed Service Agreement conflict, the signed Service Agreement prevails.
03Packages & add-ons covered
These Terms apply to every package and add-on offered for purchase on rentpp.org, including:
- Principal Practitioner package — our holistic package combining principal property practitioner supervision, PPRA and FFC compliance oversight, document and mandate oversight, trust-account and financial compliance oversight, and FICA/POPIA compliance framework support.
- Optional add-ons, where separately selected — accounting coordination, invoicing, payroll coordination, CIPC submissions, tax-compliance coordination, professional-liability insurance administration, and B-BBEE certification or affidavit coordination.
Note: Add-on services are administrative support only. They do not make RentPP your auditor, tax practitioner, accountant, attorney, employer, public officer, or statutory officer unless we agree that separately in writing.
Only the package and add-ons you actively select and pay for at checkout — or that are recorded in your Schedule 2 (Services and Fees) once your Service Agreement is signed — form part of your engagement.
04How a purchase becomes an appointment
Paying for a package on rentpp.org starts your onboarding but does not, by itself, appoint RentPP or its principal as your principal property practitioner, and does not authorise you to trade, advertise, accept mandates, conclude property transactions, receive remuneration, or receive Trust Money on the basis of RentPP’s supervision.
The appointment becomes effective only once all of the following have occurred (the “Commencement Date”):
- you have signed the full Service Agreement, including all Schedules;
- you have paid the fee selected at checkout, or the first approved instalment;
- the appointed principal is properly recorded with CIPC, the PPRA, and any other required authority; and
- you have delivered all onboarding documents required under Schedule 1 of the Service Agreement (company/CIPC records, PPRA and FFC details, Trust Account information, FICA/POPIA records, insurance details, and related documents).
Any work RentPP performs before the Commencement Date — including work triggered by your online purchase — is onboarding, consulting, or compliance-preparation work only. RentPP may refuse to commence, suspend, or decline your onboarding if information you provide is missing, false, misleading, or indicates unacceptable legal, financial, trust-account, FIC, POPIA, PPRA, or reputational risk.
RentPP does not guarantee any outcome from the PPRA, FIC, CIPC, SARS, a bank, an insurer, or an auditor. Registration and FFC decisions rest with those authorities, not with RentPP.
05Fees & payment
Packages purchased on rentpp.org may combine:
- a once-off onboarding / setup fee, charged at checkout to begin the onboarding process; and
- a recurring monthly retainer, billed for as long as your package remains active.
The specific fees, billing cycle, and payment method for your package are shown at checkout and confirmed in your invoice or order confirmation, and — once you sign — recorded in Schedule 2 of your Service Agreement.
| Item | Basis |
|---|---|
| Onboarding / setup fee | Once-off, due at checkout |
| Monthly retainer | Recurring, billed in advance unless stated otherwise |
| Add-ons | As selected — once-off or recurring, shown at checkout |
| Third-party costs | PPRA, FIC, CIPC, bank, courier, auditor, accountant, attorney, insurance, and training costs are for your account unless RentPP confirms otherwise in writing |
Unless a renewal, extension, or additional service is agreed in writing, your fees will not increase during your agreed service period. Late payment may attract interest at the maximum lawful rate (or prime plus 2% per year if no maximum applies), suspension of non-critical services, withholding of document sign-off or approval, and recovery of reasonable collection costs. You may not withhold, defer, or deduct fees because of a dispute, commission delay, transfer delay, tenant default, client complaint, or PPRA delay.
06Cancellations & refunds
- If you cancel before the Commencement Date, RentPP will refund fees paid, less the reasonable value of onboarding, consulting, or compliance preparation work already performed and any disbursements incurred.
- If the conditions precedent to your Service Agreement are not met within the timeframe it sets out, RentPP may cancel by written notice; you remain liable for work already performed, disbursements, and any arrears.
- Once the Commencement Date has occurred, cancellation is governed by the Term and Termination clause of your signed Service Agreement (see Section 7 below), not by this website page.
07Term, renewal & ending the relationship
Once your appointment commences, the initial minimum term is 12 months unless your Schedule 2 states otherwise. After that, either party may end the relationship on 60 calendar days’ written notice — but termination only takes effect for the appointed principal’s legal exposure once:
- the principal has been removed from your PPRA profile and FFC records;
- the principal has resigned or been removed from CIPC and any other required registry;
- required notices have been given to the PPRA, CIPC, FIC, banks, auditors, insurers, attorneys, agents, and affected clients; and
- all Trust Money and active transaction risk have been handed over to a new lawful principal, and all amounts owed to RentPP have been paid.
You remain liable for your retainer and agreed fees until the handover above is complete, unless the delay is caused solely by RentPP’s unreasonable failure to cooperate. RentPP may terminate immediately, suspend services, and resign its appointments in cases of material breach, Trust Money or fraud risk, false information, non-payment, or where continued association would expose RentPP or its principal to material legal, regulatory, or reputational risk — matching the grounds set out in your Service Agreement.
On termination, you must immediately stop using RentPP’s name, its principal’s name, FFC, status, signature, or templates, and stop stating that you practise under or are supervised by RentPP’s principal.
08What we need from you
To keep your appointment valid and your business compliant, you must:
- conduct your business lawfully, honestly, and to the professional standards expected of property practitioners;
- maintain valid FFCs, registrations, CPD, and qualifications for your entity, directors/members/trustees/partners, principals, full-status practitioners, and candidate practitioners;
- give RentPP prompt access to PPRA, FIC, CIPC, Trust Account, banking, accounting, and client-file records reasonably required for the service;
- notify RentPP in writing within 24 hours of any regulatory query, complaint, dispute, expired or withdrawn FFC, Trust Money irregularity, suspected fraud, POPIA compromise, or change in directors, shareholders, bank account, or trading name; and
- follow reasonable written compliance instructions issued by RentPP or its principal, and not bypass approval conditions, templates, or file-control measures without prior written consent.
The full list of your obligations, and RentPP’s Mandatory Operating Rules (FFC requirements, mandatory disclosure forms, sole mandate rules, Trust Money handling, FICA/POPIA controls, and record retention), are set out in your Service Agreement and apply once you are appointed.
09What RentPP does not provide
RentPP and its principal do not provide legal services reserved for attorneys, conveyancers, or advocates, and do not provide audit opinions, independent-review opinions, tax opinions, FAIS financial advice, conveyancing, litigation, insolvency, or forensic services unless separately provided by appropriately registered professionals. Approval, signature, or review of a document by RentPP’s principal is not a guarantee that a transaction will proceed, that a third party will accept the document, or that all information supplied by you is true.
10Intellectual property
All templates, checklists, training materials, policies, workflows, compliance tools, and onboarding packs supplied by RentPP remain RentPP’s intellectual property. Purchasing a package gives you a limited, non-transferable licence to use these materials for your own compliant business operations for as long as your package is active. You may not copy, resell, publish, share, adapt, reverse-engineer, white-label, or pass RentPP materials to another agency, principal, consultant, or competitor without RentPP’s prior written consent.
11Confidentiality & POPIA
RentPP keeps confidential all non-public business, client, personal, financial, and compliance information it receives from you, and only shares it with personnel and advisers who need it, with the PPRA/FIC/CIPC/SARS/SAPS or other authorities where lawfully required, to comply with law, or with your consent. By purchasing a package or submitting an onboarding form, you authorise RentPP to process the personal information necessary to perform the service, comply with applicable law, manage risk, and protect its rights, in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).
12Liability & indemnity
You indemnify RentPP, its principal, and their staff and representatives against losses, claims, fines, penalties, and costs arising from your breach of the Service Agreement or applicable law, acts or omissions by you or your staff/agents, inaccurate or misleading information you supply, or any Trust Money, FICA, POPIA, or advertising non-compliance on your part. This indemnity does not cover losses caused solely by RentPP’s or its principal’s proved fraud, wilful misconduct, or gross negligence, and it survives the end of your engagement. The full indemnity, and the personal suretyship taken from signing directors/members/trustees/shareholders, is set out in your Service Agreement.
13Non-solicitation
During your engagement and for 12 months after it ends, you must not directly or indirectly solicit, employ, contract with, or divert any principal, employee, contractor, auditor, accountant, trainer, consultant, or service provider that RentPP introduced to you, without RentPP’s written consent.
14Website use
You may use rentpp.org for lawful purposes connected with evaluating or purchasing RentPP’s services. You must not attempt to interfere with the site’s operation or security, misrepresent your identity or authority when submitting a form or purchase, or use content from this site for a competing compliance or supervision offering.
15Disputes & governing law
If a dispute arises, please first give RentPP written notice and allow 7 calendar days for it to be resolved between senior representatives. If unresolved, either party may refer it to mediation. Nothing stops either party from seeking urgent interdictory relief, debt collection, or protection of Trust Money where needed. These Terms, and any purchase made on rentpp.org, are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa, and the courts of South Africa have jurisdiction.
16Changes to these Terms
RentPP may update these website Terms from time to time to reflect changes in its services, pricing structure, or applicable law. The version in force at the time of your purchase applies to that purchase. Material changes affecting an active engagement will only take effect through a written amendment to your signed Service Agreement, not through this page alone.
